Happy Turtle LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Happy Turtle Marketplace at happyturtle.xyz. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and share your information.

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account (managed securely by Clerk)
  • Order Information: Shipping address, billing address, phone number, and purchase history
  • Payment Information: Payment details are processed securely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers
  • Vendor Information: Business name, contact details, and tax identification for vendor accounts
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, products browsed, and search queries (collected anonymously via Plausible Analytics)

  • Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts

  • Improve our marketplace and user experience
  • Prevent fraud and maintain platform security

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our marketplace:

  • Clerk - Authentication and account management
  • Stripe - Secure payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
  • Supabase - Database hosting with encryption at rest (AES-256)
  • Cloudinary - Image hosting and optimization
  • Plausible Analytics - Privacy-focused, cookie-free website analytics (GDPR compliant)
  • Resend - Transactional email delivery
  • EasyPost - Shipping rate calculation and label generation

Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics provider, Plausible, does not use cookies at all.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Database data is encrypted at rest. Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers. We follow industry best practices to protect your personal information.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently removed after a 45-day grace period. Order records are retained for accounting and tax purposes with personal details anonymized after 7 years.

You have the right to:

  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
